This table is like a notebook, it is called IL REGAL The GIFT
Everything happened spontaneously.
These sculptures are the result of my experience lived in Susch;
after these recent weeks spent in Susch, I would like to mention how words like nature respect, sharing, perception, community, assumed a totally different meaning; these are the fundamental elements for our sustainable future.
The community is founded on the gift.
IL REGAL, the gift, is a working progress idea.
Walking around the Susch woods, I met people and I spoke Italian with them, so I had getting acquainted with Rumanch. With these people I went to long talks on various topics about the land, ecology and culture, so I realized that we had some common interests.
The relationships were created very quickly, and these people brought me gifts. Wool and deer horns that they found in the woods.
So, I thought of returning the gifts with other small gifts, the hairy flower contained in a small wool bowl.
The works can be touched and approached in order to be smelled and perceived.
The wool sculpture hanging in the center of the architecture does not represent an image but could represent many. It is like a column without a base and without a roof, it is suspended in this vernacular place.
I appreciate and thank the sense of community that I experienced in this place.
